Alaina's Review

I am the mother of a tremendously HUGE Linkin Park fan. My daughter, Alaina D'Amico is 15 years old and has attended I believe four Linkin Park Concerts in the last year. The first one was last February at the Dragon Festival in San Bernardino California. She was the only one at her high school who had heard of Linkin Park. She took a lot of teasing about it. No one had heard of them, but she was hooked already. At the Festival, she and a friend I work with, Juan Ambriz, encountered first hand the "up close and personal" touch Linkin Park gives to their fans. A picture was published in the local paper with Chester on stage, and there was Alaina's happy face right in front of him. Afterward, the band signed autographs for them and talked with them. They became fans for life. My other 2 children and I were waiting at a friend's house for their return. At around 2:00 A.M., here they came, talking a mile a minute! It was an experience of a lifetime for her and worth the sacrifices it took to get her there. After that, each time they attended an LP concert, they were always able to talk with and get autographs from the band. At Ozzfest, Devore, 2001, Chester and Rob each took time before the concert to come over and pose for a picture with her. These are her most prized possessions. My parents have seen her bedroom, aka (the Linkin Park museum) and said it reminded them of my beatlemania days when I was her age. In Las Vegas, the last show of Projekt Revolution, I also attended the concert. Those guys were great!! Now I am a big fan. We attended the meet and greet afterwards. I was impressed with the energy they all had even though it was the last show of the tour and they must have been ready to drop! I'm glad for their success, but I can see it is getting more difficult for them to mingle with their fan base. This is kinda sad. I THANK EACH OF THEM for making it such a great and positive experience for my daughter. I am forever greatful and now also a huge fan!! Crystal D'Amico, Crestline CA -LinkinPark fans mommy
