Martyn B.'s Review
Europe Tour 2003 - Brixton - 3/5/03

I went to see Linkin Park on the 5th of March in Brixton. Being my favourite band in the world I was expecting an amazing time but nothing like what it was.

I went along with my friends Jo and Carrie, also big fans of the band. We made our way from Northamptonshire (around hour and a half from Brixton) and were in the que for LP at 5pm. I really needed to pee while in the que so i went off for 5mins. When i came back there was a big crowd around a window, i ran over and saw Chester and Joe throwing banana's and salad etc. at us. It was well funny, but I was so gutted that I had missed most of it. I got back in the que, we had moved forward slightly, I was pushed next to this door, suddenly the door opened. It was Mike and Chester, I couldn't believe it. They came out and signed and had pictures taken, they didn't leave one person out which I think it so amazing, there a world famous band, they don't have to go out into the street the way they did, it just shows the contact they have with their fans. Mike and Chester signed my t-shirt. Then i got Chester to sign the back of a sticker I had just brought for Charity. It said 'don't be a dick' on it, which Chester found amusing. Joe Hahn came out later on only to sign for a few people, I was one of the lucky ones.

Linkin Park began the show around 9 and finished just after 10pm. From the first scratch to the last vocal...Linkin Park were amazing. I was completly blown away.

Anyone who wants to see them..should. You will not be making a mistake. The night capped off with me shaking Rob's hand. The perfect end to the best day.
