Uphill of struggle, blood, sweat and tears
Making his way, overtaking the rest
While others stand back and rhymes manifest
Sweeping the world, pressures mounting too fast
And now there’s nothing left, but to prove he can last
So denying forfeiting, he pushes on
Pulling through for the team, to finish the song
The familiar sound of the last few notes
He turns to their side and secretly gloats
No more searching, running the pace
He knows his team have found there place

He is amused by the thousands of people that are there, screaming for them.
Climbing up the large metal stairs, he's handed an ear piece.
He puts it on and picks up his instrument and slightly tunes it.
Huddling with his fellow band mates, he collects his thoughts.
On stage he goes.
He strikes the first chord causing the whole building to vibrate.
Drum beats and bass notes join him along with voices.
The adrenaline rush is awesome.
He bounces on a near by amp.
The sweat rolls down his face past the headphones.
Watching the crowd, he's mesmerized.
"Wow!" he mumble to himself.
After a few more runs of melodic beauty, he's given a hug by his sweaty lanky friends as they leave stage.
Another day.

a lying mist, covers the air
gust of water blows my hair
shouting here, breaks a nail

a second passes, its a burden
