Spanky's Review
Summer Sanitarium
Giants Stadium, NJ
July 8, 2003

hey sup my name's spanky. i've been a linkin park fan ever since they came out and today i saw them live for the first time. i got lucky with getting tickets for summer sanitarium. we got to the parking lot at giants stadium and chilled for a little bit. we eventually went inside to our seats. our seats sucked so we moved down to the second level and took some seats. mudvayne opened up and then followed deftones. during the wait for linkin park's set to get finished there were fights and security guards getting their hats stolen. i found it hilarious. then slowly one by one linkin park came out on stage opening up with don't stay. it was great, they played one song after another. they were playin all the new stuff off of meteora and a few songs off of hybrid theory. they even played the reanimation version of pushing me away. then mike sat behind a keyboard and chester was talking saying the next song was to be the next single off of meteora for the fans. then mike started the song and it was numb. it was amazing to see them perform such a good song live. then they finished up the show with crawling, in the end, a place for my head, and one step closer. after they finished i was satisfied and didn't bother to stay to watch limp bizkit or metallica. if i ever had the chance i would definently see them again.
